Updated Worship Plans

(effective June 20 through September 5)

The following plans were approved by the Augsburg Council on June 10th and have been approved by our Medical Advisors and the Re-Gathering Team. These plans aim to address the desire for many to be able to worship without masks while also recognizing the need for an option for those who wish to remain masked. Pre-Registration will no longer be required for any worship services.

9:00am Sanctuary Worship

• No registration required.
• Masks are not required for those who are vaccinated. Those who are not vaccinated, or who would like to remain masked, are encouraged to do so.
• Social distancing is strongly encouraged.
• Service length and communion distribution would remain the same.

6:00pm Sanctuary Worship

• No registration required.
• Masks are required for all who attend this worship service regardless of vaccination status
• Social distancing and row spacing would remain.
• Service length and communion distribution would remain the same.

Beginning when the Outdoor Gathering Space is ready for use (early July)

10:30am Outdoor Gathering Space Worship

• No registration required.
• Masks are not required for those who are vaccinated. Those who are not vaccinated, or who would like to remain masked, are encouraged to do so.
• Social distancing is strongly encouraged.
• Slightly modified liturgy, same communion distribution method.

Other meetings and activities at Augsburg

• Ministry Team meetings, small groups, and other activities for adults will allow for those who are vaccinated to attend without masks.
• Ministries and events focused on children will continue to require mask usage from all participants. The youth will continue to meet outside during the summer.
• Contact the church office to reserve a room for a meeting or activity.

*In the event that it is medically necessary, the Executive Ministry team in consultation with Augsburg’s Medical Advisors, may make adjustments to these plans.
