Worship is the central component of life within the congregation at Augsburg Lutheran Church.

We worship at 8:30 AM and 11 AM each week. The services are generally the same, each with a children’s message and communion, and nursery is provided for each. Worship lasts about an hour. Dress for your personal comfort—coat and tie, dress or jumper, jeans or shorts. What’s most important to us, is that you come and worship.

It can be said that at Augsburg our worship matches our architecture. Our worship space is traditional, and the same can be said about our worship. We follow a liturgy similar to many other churches. The word “liturgy” means, “work of the people,” which reminds us that worship should be participatory. Our worship includes four sections: Gathering, Word, Meal, and Sending.

We use the same basic scriptures each week as many other churches, called the Revised Common Lectionary.  We celebrate communion every Sunday. All who are accustomed to receiving communion (including children) are welcome to do so each and every Sunday morning.
