Salem Bach Festival Vespers
Join us for Vespers (or Evening Prayers) at 7:00 PM in the sanctuary at Augsburg Lutheran Church. Hear Bach Motet (BWV 230) Lobet den Herrn, alle Heiden and music by J.M. Bach, Rosenmüller, and Hammerschmidt in the context of traditional Lutheran vespers with the Magnolia Baroque Ensemble, and with the adult choir of Augsburg Lutheran church leading worship.
The Salem Bach Festival is part of the Music@Home concert series. This gift to the community is made possible by Home Moravian Church. The festival is in its fourth season and promises to present some beautiful music.
The festival will conclude on Sunday afternoon, September 22, 2019, 3:00 PM in the sanctuary at Home Moravian Church. Mette (Matins) Service will be sung. Music will include Bach Cantata (BWV150) Nach dir Herr, verlanget miche and music of Shütz and Erlebach with the Magnolia Baroque Ensemble. All are welcome!
