Changes for the Better

Robert Reinhard was born in Cumberland, Maryland.Baptized and raised in the Catholic tradition, he had his first communion and was confirmed at 14. His church experience extended to his education as well, as he attended parochial school through most of his elementary education. After graduation from high school, he moved to Winston-Salem to attend Wake Forest University. His move to Winston-Salem led him to meet Anna Marie Carr. Anna Marie, a third-generation member of Augsburg, brought him to church.

Robert noticed some differences at Augsburg. It seemed more modern, progressive, and up-to-date. The religious community he experienced at Augsburg was better than he expected. In his life, Robert feels it is important to do the right thing, live a good life, and be good to others. The church life he experiences at Augsburg provides the solid foundation he is looking for.

Robert and Anna Marie have married and are now parents to Ada Kathryn. Ada Kathryn’s baptism at Augsburg was a special service for Robert. Pastor Paul’s ability to know and connect with people was particularly compelling. The many family and friends that were in attendance, from both sides of the family, recognized what a special place Augsburg was. Robert was proud to be part of the Augsburg family.
